I like my body today. It has seen miraculous, terrifying, glorious, violent, transcendent moments. It’s been far bigger than it is now. It’s been far lither than it is now. It’s been weaker. It’s been stronger. Sometimes I treat my body like the pajamas your mom gets you every Christmas — a gift you can count on getting, but it isn’t really cherished until you least expect to need it. I want to work on that. I want to look at my body everyday and not focus on its limitations, or my expectations, or your perceptions. I want to focus less on the vessel and more on what lies within. I hope that one day my body feels like home instead of a house. But today I feel like a Brickhouse, henny. . Hate to think where I would be…⁣ if I didn’t say Y E S.⁣ If I didn’t put my doubts aside.⁣ If I didn’t invest in me.⁣ If I didn’t make it work.⁣ ⁣ I was a 23 year old college drop out who had a baby, home, and family to help take care of. I made 20k a year and lived credit card to credit card. I was stressed, depressed, and suicidal. I knew something needed to change……⁣ ⁣ So, I scraped up $220 some from checkin account, some from my hubs, borrowed some from family, and the rest on a credit card. Once I hit submit… I knew THIS WAS IT! I slowed down in my workout so I could speed back up. This is my 3rd set of running in place This is my far and the most conditioned in this I have ever been. Ever. After my last round of workouts I had a time I was trying to beat and I would in very small increments but I could tell something was missing. So I got helped. I go coached. We worked on improving weak areas and gaps. I went back to using bands and strengthening areas in my legs and booty. Six weeks later, this is the results. This is what doing the work and being consistent looks like. This is growth. This is increased mobility and ability. I slowed down so I could speed up. Ps. That is 276 lbs and going for it!

Week 2 Day 3✨ • Today was more of a struggle than I think I’ve ever had. So happy that today is Wednesday! Only 2 more days till the weekend!!  #whoopwhoop 😃 • • I have to say the workout I did this morning was pretty tough I was extra sore and my weights felt extra heavy! 🏋🏼‍♀️ I had to lower my weights and my hiit wasn’t as fast today. I could have easily let this get me down but I choose to keep going and kept pushing myself to finish and to just do my best! I am in no race! I am not in a competition! I’m just trying to better myself everyday and just by finishing and doing my best I achieve that! And that’s worth this cheesy smile 😁 • • Not everyday is going to be sunshine ☀️ and rainbows 🌈 you will have hard days on this journey. Just don’t let them bring you down and ruin all of the awesome progress you have made! Want a smaller looking waist?! Work that back! Like I’ve said before if you grow your back muscles it will give you the appearance of having a smaller waist! ✅ . Here are a few of my favourite back exercises. I love the cable exercises because they’re super easy to set up so if your time is limited the cables are 👌👌. . •Chin ups •Assisted chin ups •Seated cable rows •Wide grip lat pulldowns •Kneeling straight arm pulldowns •Single arm lat pulldowns [3 sets of 8-12 reps] . Workin on your chin ups?! These bands are awesome. The thicker the band the more assistance it provides. Start with no band (or a lighter band) and do as many reps as you can. Once you reach failure move to the next, thickest band and do as many as you can again! These bands are from amazon, look up “chin up resistance bands” the brand I have is Powder Guidance. I have a red(light) purple(medium) & green(heavy)!💪 . Ready set goooooo! Happy Wednesday

Recently, I've been feeling pretty good. My clothes have been fitting differently, I've had more energy and my body overall feels better. BUT it had been awhile since I had taken an accountability photo. So this morning I did. 📸 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now, the photo on the left is from September '18 and the right is today. That's 4 months. 4 months seems like a long time to me..with the summer coming to a close, the dance season starting back up, my birthday, the holidays..September seems like forever ago. And truthfully, I feel like the amount of progress I have made seems minimal to how much time has passed.👎🏼 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ But then I take another look and realize that I need to stop being so damn hard on myself. I am a human. I have 3 jobs. I have a life! And when I look at my life and then look at this picture, I am proud of myself. Real talk here y'all- If the change was easy, you would have already done it. It's about COMMITTING to working through the hard that will get you there. • Here's a look of how my workouts go-- 😴 Before I start: Ugh I'm so tired I don't want to do this, maybe today can be my rest day and I can just do it later. 🤔 After my preworkout: Ok, now that I'm more awake, I guess I should do it... 😅 During the workout: Oh man, I wanna stop, no keep pushing, it's only 20 minutes, you'll get to switch to the next move soon. 😨 30 seconds after I'm done: Omg I need to breathe, holy cow I can't believe I just did that (swipe to see this photo) 🤗 5 minutes after I'm done: Woah, I feel SO good! Much stronger than last week, I can't believe how much my muscles are popping today!! (First photo) • I don't hop out of bed each day at 5 AM ready to take on the world. But I've COMMITTED to getting it done, so I've created HABITS that help me succeed. That includes: my accountability group that I know will be sharing their successes for the day, a morning routine that helps me settle my mind, a preworkout that amps me up and wakes me up to be my best, and a workout calendar that sets me up for success. • Don't think there's something "wrong" with you just because you're struggling with your health and fitness journey. I hated how I felt. And I knew I was capable of living a better quality life. I hated feeling self conscious in my clothes. I hated feeling like I had to wear something that would me up and hide my rolls. (Aka sweat pants all the time) I hated turning down social invitations - especially ones where I knew I had to dress up or wear a bathing suit because I felt SOOO freakin’ self conscious about how I felt in my skin. I would come home from school eat mac n cheese, cinnamon sugar graham crackers, chocolate and gummy bears, some nights it was 2 hamburger happy meals followed by a tub of ice cream - it always felt good in the moment - but HORRIBLE the next day - and even worse when all of those unhealthy binges caused me to have to go up ANOTHER jean size. I looked at other people in my life — my family, my friends - and I didn’t understand why it had to be “so hard” for me. I later realized these were just my excuses. And the longer I allowed my excuses to dictate my reality - the longer I was remaining a prisoner in my own body. I knew I was destined to be the greatest version of me and I was able to reach a physique and state of health that felt AMAZING inside and out. I knew I was detained to live a life of freedom, happiness and joy without feeling self conscious and out of balance in my body. The moment I decided to tune IN, the moment I decided I wanted an ENTIRELY new life - that is the moment where everything changed. I started eating healthier, I started working out I started taking care of myself The person you see in this picture was not happy with herself, or her life and what changed EVERYTHING for her was realizing that SHE was the one who ultimately controls her own destiny.

A month, today marks a month when I decided that I needed to get me on track. Somewhere along the way I lost myself, somewhere along the way I (ME no one else) decided “fuck it, don’t worry about yourself, work, eat like shit and tell yourself you’ll work it off tomorrow”, I never did. It caught up, and I had to learn that the hard way. But the first month is always, ALWAYS, the hardest. Sticking to routine, working out when you really don’t fucking want to and eating better (even when takeaway is just sooo much easier right), but your body thanks you. I am my own change. I am the change I want to be. No one else. Can I see a massive physical difference? Personally? Yes. To anyone else? No. But that’s ok, because they don’t need to, it’s not for them. Wednesday is usually my only 2-a-day, but I have to skip Body Pump tomorrow night so I was (very easily) talked into a class called Total Body Conditioning tonight. It sort of kicked my ass but in a good way. It was like a mix of step aerobics and body weight exercises. I definitely feel some muscles that I apparently don't train enough (hi, side glutes) and I think I might actually be sore tomorrow, which is sorta unusual for me. It was a fun change of pace. Posting this on here solely so that I can look back on my hard days and remember how badass I feel. Today is literally only day 3 of me working out twice a day. It may not be the most extreme workouts, but every time I feel a muscle burn I remember the grit I’m made of 🙌💪🏻 • • Truly this is operation I won’t hate my body this summer. I was 30 lbs lighter a year and a half ago 😱😭 but between my husband loving me, miscarriages, moving, and the struggles of life I didn’t pay attention to how badly I let myself go, or how bad I internalized those emotions. So now I’m kicking my ass in gear - and staying focused because I won’t accept failure this time. 🙌 • • This kind of coincides with the blog post for tomorrow. how about a little  #tiutransformation for this snowy Tuesday!? 💕 The past 4 months have been so challenging, frustrating, exciting and liberating. Since September, I have lost nearly 30 pounds, fallen in love with the gym, I have more energy than ever before, and I am even learning to cook!! I’m accomplishing things at the gym I never thought I’d be able to do, and I feel like I’ve become who I always wanted to be ✨ I am in a place right now where I have truly never loved my body more. I feel so capable, so strong & so joyful. I had every excuse in the book not to workout today. I was up from 1-4 with a congested baby. Both of my boys are sick. I have homework to do, laundry is piling up, and the excuses just kept coming. But I chose to put ME first. I chose to make myself a priority today and I’m so glad I did. I feel so much better and less stressed out, ready to tackle all the sickness and snotty kisses my kids are giving me. 💙

Cooking for your family doesn’t have to be hard or make you feel deprived. I’ve never been someone to slather in sauce or ketchup so that’s not bother some to me. This morning the kids had scrambled egg and chopped up chicken meatballs with ketchup like daddy, next is my husbands eggs avocado chicken meat balls and a toast slice and ketchup, mine eggs and avocado with lemon pepper seasoning.
