Had THEE worst day today😰 Uni has started again and that means stress added on stress added on more stress. But when things get stressful I break them down. Make short term goals each week. You can’t complete everything at once it all comes with time and organising your day well. I write things on post it notes and stick them on the table to remind me of things I need to do. It also means my gym sessions will be squeezed in whenever I can. Gym is a priority alongside uni and social life. Whatever decisions you make now will shape your future🤞🏼

The 100kg squat ✔️ ____________ 107.5kg for two reps. Most I’ve ever squatted in my life, so was pretty happy! 😍 Been a goal of mine for such a long time. And it’s been the most frustrating lift to progress in because it just was not happening for ages I couldn’t get anywhere past 90 😢 ____________ How did I get it- 1️⃣ I squatted every single week even when I didn’t want to 2️⃣Specific training programme aimed towards strengthening my squat 3️⃣ I didn’t let the failed reps keep me from trying again 4️⃣Eating a lot- food is fuel 😅 5️⃣Decent spotter- new recruit  @josephjohnadams 6️⃣Tried lifting with a belt 7️⃣Worked on my breathing in the squat 8️⃣Trained in a gym where the atmosphere is great, and the people around me are motivated, I never have a shit session at  @kingsgymofficial ____________ 120kg I’m comin for you 🔥

Next goal in mind is take 145lbs with no boards! Tonight I did 145lbs × 2 with only a TWO BOARD! (55lb bar) One rep is only partially shown because one of my friends didn't know I was recording and grabbed my phone. 😂😂

When you apply a constant pressure/tension on a certain part of your body, it enables your muscles to endure more muscle fiber micro-tears. In these micro-tears, your body will be able to recover and adapt by becoming stronger from it. The best ways to get T.U.T during a workout is by keeping the same pace in a workout or by controlling certain movements for much longer periods of time. ———————————————————————————Ex: For my bench press & push-ups, I keep a constant pace of about 6 seconds and my “Controlled Movement” is the barbell or ground being slowly moved to my chest at about 5 seconds where I explode up afterwards as soon as I hit it.
