Video got cut off for some reason, but I promise I did 4 sets of 5 at 357 paused. Caught myself just slowing down instead of pausing on set two so fixed that the latter two sets. A common problem people have with training is just doing too many damn exercises. You need to stick with an exercise long enough to progress it. Don’t focus on “muscle confusion” lol before focusing on basic progressions. Actually aim to get better and stronger at an exercise before changing it. A lot can be gained from just becoming better and more consistent with the basics. You don’t need to be fancy to get strong 💪🏼

Shout out to  @darth_lifter105 on his awesome meet performance 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 ・・・ Winter Games 2019 Recap Squat: 235kg (517lbs) Bench: 165kg (363lbs) Deadlift: 240kg (528lbs) Overall I'm extremely happy about how the meet went, but far from satisfied. I went 9/9 in all lifts, having a total of 640kg (1408lbs). Definitely had about 30kg more in the tank, but I'll be sure to leave it on the platform next time. Squats : 150 x 10 Bench : 92.5 x 7 Today was the first day since this block that I have felt comfortable squatting. At the beginning of this block I began working on improving my squat (very top secret) and it has been such a struggle, not just to adopt this new form but to mentally accept that it’s a work in progress. It still is not perfect and there’s always room for improvement, but I’m finally getting the hang of it. I started lifting weights in 8th grade without much direction. I essentially just followed the off season wrestling workout program the rest of the team was doing. As crazy as it sounds, we didn’t even squat or deadlift. That summer I started reading bodybuilding magazines and transitioned to programs I mashed together from there. It was a great learning experience but I flat out trained like an idiot early on in high school. But, when you are obsessed with something you don’t always need the perfect plan. The truth is, I think doing so much wrong initially forced me to learn more later on. However, I do wish I would have came across a great beginners guide back then, it would have saved me some time 🤔

340lbsx1 BW:131 This is not a huge PR at all numbers wise, but it is huge for me technique and mentality wise. This was my 3rd attempt at raw Nationals. Lately squat had been extremely mental for me, due to an injury, and I struggled every time I knew I was in the 300lbs range. For me to be able to hit this for my top weekly single means I'm finally starting to not over think so much. Also the bar path was straighter than most of my top singles. 🚨PR ALERT🚨 410x5. This is a modest PR... but depth was there and then some, making the set harder than it needed to be. Squats have not been going so well so I am very happy to hit this PR right now. My back was toast after this set so volume work had to be adjusted. 3x5x375 prescribed, but I did 365x5, 2x5x325 instead. Return after forced Deload. Started to get ill a couple of days ago- took off 4 days to rest.(got in gpp from scooping all the snow we got- last video) Finally feeling better, but still not 100%. 195/428 PR triple on squat and then 235/518x2 DL which was stupidly overshot lol. Thought I had it based on the final warm up, oh well. Good way to end the block with  @sumocumlaude  @jjahuja  @tz_powerlifting  @lanies_gainies2.0  @x_lifts today.  @chancemitchellpbc take the wheel. 12 weeks out.

WOO. Much happier starting my workout week on Sundays. First day of the week workouts are brutal. Thought I'd be nice to throw in some vids of my accessory work since I had the time. . And arm blasters make your arms look bigger than they actually are. But no fancy edits have been made that's just how my arms look 😂. Booty and arm gainz  #Over9000 with that  #MateriaPump  @pr_breaker . Making some big progress on lat pulldowns. Got 3x12 at 180 this week 🤙. . 6x8 at 350 on squats beltless (didn't hit record on one set) Big oof. Incline Bench Biceps Lats GHRs with  @rtnelso3 watchin Cardio

My dogs love to hang out in the gym, but Miya’s the least bit scared of the bangs when I deadlift. She loves to sneak up in between sets😅 It looks like she’s going to be a little pocket pit. - - 4th session in 5 days but honestly 485 moved great. This was my 4th/ last single of the day. 440lbs(200kg)x7 which I think is a 22lb PR on my 7rm? I've done 430x8 on a 24 bar though.
