so i’ve been trying yoga lol. & today i did a class with all of my friends, which surprisingly did not end with us getting kicked out of the class. i’ve decided i’m going to give my body a few rest days. i’ve been feeling pain in my lower back and just tired in general. i might do cardio? i might just go for some light weight workouts? i don’t know, we’ll see how i feel. I think i’m overworking myself? anyways, i really like hot yoga. like a lot. so i’ll keep doing this for now. :)

It wassss a great LEG DAY. Challenging but felt great! Push yourself every day and get out of your comfort zone. Growth doesn’t happen when you’re too comfortable. I’m SO sore today. Try these out as a superset(set of exercises done with little/no rest in between) or glute finisher(set of exercises done at the end of your workout to ensure you’ve pushed your muscles as hard as you can)! I love to superset to save time + keep my heart rate elevated throughout my workout, but yesterday I did these as a glute finisher/burnout because I wanted to REALLY get my glutes pumped 😅 1. Floor dumbbell leg curl 2. Narrow kettlebell squat - wide kettlebell squat 3. Single leg kettlebell deadlift 4. Glute bridges + bridge abduction With all of these focus on controlling the movement and squeezing the glutes at the top, keeping the shoulders down and back, and a neutral spine/hip. *videos are sped up 2x I am NOT a certified personal trainer, physical therapist or any kind of movement specialist. I share what works for me and who I’ve learned from. Today I’m inspired by  @protein_babe,  @bretcontreras1 &  @smith.julian, check them out! IM STILL LEARNING + STILL GROWING.

Here’s a little set I did on my glute/hammie day 👀👀 my 🍑🍑 was on 🔥🔥 • • • • On the first set it’s an elevated deadlift on the cables drop set 15-12-10-8 going higher in weight. Next work out is the donkey kicks same drop set. Following with the hip thrusters! Happy HUMP day loves! I got a stye on my eye and currently out of the gym until it heals. It’s been two days and i am already going crazy lol. Sometimes we plan our week and forget that life happens. A year ago last January this shirt was form-fitted to my body. But last January is also when I decided I wanted to change up my types of workouts and start lifting - heavy. I got really fucking strong. And I'm getting stronger. My goal was never to get smaller. I'm already "small" or "tiny" by many people's standards. I'm just using this as an example that you don't have to kill yourself with cardio every day and lifting heavy won't automatically make you "bulky" (insert MAJOR eyeroll). Do what gets you excited to move your body physically. Make THAT your goal; whether it's running, HIIT, weightlifting, dancing etc. My goal has always been to get stronger, to feel more and more capable, and to discover time and time again what my physical capabilities are and what I can do. Reality time📌 Anxiety is no joke. It’s a real thing. For people who simply say “get over it” or “think about something else”..it’s not that simple • These past few days, my anxiety has been through the roof. I can’t explain it, I can’t just “stop” it on a dime. So I did a glute focused workout today! I went for lighter weight since I haven't worked out in a minute. But I had a good workout, only did 15 minutes of cardio. ⬅️Part 2 of today’s  #homegym shenanigans! 💃🏽💪🏽😄So this is my current situation (has been the last few weeks as many of you know)... Wrist recovery after carpal tunnel surgery is so funny! It’s been a lot of trying things out to see how it all feels. Mobility has greatly improved but still has a little bit to go.. For instance.. Wanted to do strict presses for the first AfterParty portion instead of Snatch hold Barbell Shrugs but my wrist wasn’t having it. Something about the Barbell directly sitting on the scar makes it uncomfortable.. So gotta modify still as I go..Again.. No point in pushing this matter or my body too much for instance.. Just because I can’t get over my pride somehow 😝 Same thing with the second portion... I wanted to do Bicep Curls but wrist wasn’t having it.. So pull-ups it was! Cleans and front squats are definitely feeling much better as wrist mobility is improving so very happy to be able to incorporate those in training again!!🤩Keeping weight light through the process though!! All in all.. Very happy thus far! Gotta be patient! I’m missing my mojo I’m just going through the motions SOOOO in hopes of bringing that spark back I’m switching it up!! ⁣ I’m getting back into an older style of training I used to do when I started my fitness journey. Before & After 2014-2019 ✨ Léanlo, es interesante 👇🏻 ✨ Después de 4 años de batallar con fibromas uterinos y problemas hormonales que me llevaron al hospital grave, mi cuerpo cambió completamente, tenia retención de líquidos y mi cuerpo parecía de una mujer embarazada, como pueden imaginarse mi autoestima estaba muy mal y sin poder hacer actividad ficica por prohibición del Doc, más los malos comentarios de la gente. A good way to split your upper body days is by having a pull and push day. A pull day are any exercises using your biceps and backs & a push day are any exercises using your chest, shoulders, and triceps. It’s always a good idea to go to the gym with a plan so that you don’t waste any time and can get right to work. Here’s a good pull day circuit using the cable machine! . Bent over flies, bicep curls, bent over row & horizontal curls . Aim for 3 rounds of 10 reps! . Save this workout for later or tag a friend to kill those arms 🔥💪🏽
