I got my workout in early this morning. 🏋️‍♂️ I worked upper body today 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 I’m getting serious about counting macros and making sure I meet my protein goals every day! I have been doing the “80/20” lifestyle and focusing on low carb for a while now- because it’s flexible. laid back and easy... but flexible and laid back isn’t getting me towards my gains unfortunately. **It snowed today ❄️❄️❄️ so the kids and I played out in the snow this afternoon. Bicep and tricep work.💪💪💪 ⚀DB bicep curls 8-12 x 3 ⚁Tricep kickbacks 8-12 x 3 ⚂hammer curls 8-12 x 3 ⚃Skull crushers with leg raise 8-12 x 3 + Tricep bench press (option) ⚄Incline bench curls 8-12 x 3 ⚅Tricep dips 10-13 x 3 🔥Db bicep Circle burnouts🔥 10 each way x 3 Instructions 👇👇👇 DB curls Stand feet hip distance apart, brace the abs and glutes (flex them) and keep a soft knee. Breathe in on the lowering phase and out on the raise phase. Tricep Kickbacks. Stand feet hip distance apart and try to bend over as close to 90 degrees as the body will allow. Keep the back flat and arms close to the torse. Extend the elbow back and without swinging or using momentum bring it back to starting position Standing Hammer curls. Same instructions as regular DB curls but the hands are in a hammer or nuetral grip Skull crushers. Lie flat on the bench and either using DBs or a barbell use an over hand grip and keep elbows in as much as the body allows and lower the weight towards the skull. These are killer for me. I add the leg raise but that's totally optional. Decline DB curls. Target the long head of the bicep and is a really great variation to throw in for gains. Keep feet planted and abdomen engaged. Try to use control instead of momentum swings. Tricep dips can be done without weights and should be if you are new to this exercise. Keep body close to the bench. This burn out can be done with the lightest of weights!

Weightless Wednesday Workout Is also doubling as "At home abs" ⚀ Table top pulses ⚁ Dead bug (weird name) ⚂ Supine pike or full body V up ⚃ Half runner's crunch ⚄ Butterfly jackknife ⚅ Plank sliders Okay so I didn't name most of those. But they are indeed strange names. I mean butterfly jackknife sounds real creepy like some terrible tattoo on a weirdy. Anyways they're killer ab workoute no matter their names! All ab work done for 3 sets of 10 ⚀ Lie on the ground and bring bent knees up to a 90 degree position known as table top. Bring arms straight in front and pulse. ⚁ Lie on back and alternate straightening opposing arms and legs then bring back to table top before going to the opposite side. ⚂ Lie on your back and with straight arms and legs roll up into a V shape. ⚃ Half because the arms can also alternate but I didn't add that. Just bring both legs into a hovering position and alternating a running movement. ⚄ Maintain a butterfly position while laying back and crunch up with hands going between the legs. ⚅ Use socks or rags or gliders. Start in plank position and crunch the knees forward and back. Save this killer at home workout forever!

Taco Tuesday or Transformation Tuesday? Can it be both? For a long time, I didn’t think so. Fitness was my main priority in life, and therefore took away from any sort of real social activity I participated in. Taco Tuesday became a date night filled with anxiety about counting macros, limiting the number of chips I ate, and a water instead of a margarita. This year, I’m sure a lot of you have health goals in mind. If you’ve struggled with finding a balance in achieving your goals, you’re NOT ALONE! So many people go through these extreme ups and downs. Your situation might not look exactly like mine, but it might look like: - limiting carbs heavily🥞 - doing extreme amounts of cardio 🏃🏽‍♀️ - restricting too many calories too soon - isolating yourself from social situations - guilting yourself for having a cookie or a slice of pizza 🍕 You don’t have to be extreme to see results. Life is about balance in ALL aspects, including your health journey. You can order a margarita, eat some tacos, and a still be one step closer to your health goals.
