What’s the difference between losing weight and losing body fat? 🤔 . Very common misconception with this topic, and I am going to break it down very thoroughly. . Losing weight is your overall body MASS, meaning there is no specific indication as to if the weight you are losing, is pure adipose tissue, aka fat. Losing weight can mean a number of things such as: Losing water weight, losing skeletal muscle, OR losing fat.. but neither or can be determined unless you are fully aware of what your body fat percentage is. . Your body fat percentage is the most accurate way of seeing how much fat you are carrying, the lean muscle mass you are holding, if you’re body is in a healthy percentage or not, and more. I personally have always went by body fat in terms of my clients’ successes since I have first started coaching professionally. You NEED to know what body fat percentage you are in if you are looking to get lean, toned, lose fat, and be overall fit. BUT you must know how to LOSE body fat specifically to make sure you are getting closer and closer to your desired body fat, as well as avoiding any loose skin when aiming to get toned, build muscle, and lose fat. If you do not know your percentage, I advise getting it checked as soon as you can, that way you know EXACTLY where you should be to get to your goal. . Hoje trago algo do consumo de grande parte da população, que são os biscoitos salgados integrais. O lanche prático que pode ser encontrado em diversas bolsas. Então vamos ao que interessa: O que sempre devemos observar são os primeiros ingredientes, pois isso indica os de maior abundância, contudo não podemos esquecer de ver todos os alimentos que compõe o produto. Apesar do biscoito ser salgado como consta na embalagem entre os primeiros ingredientes encontrados dois açúcares. Isso ocorre em boa parte dos biscoitos, pois açúcares são aditivos alimentares. Aditivos são utilizados intencionalmente nos alimentos sem o propósito de nutrir, com o objetivo de modificar a aparência tornando mais atrativo e aumentando o tempo de validade. A gordura vegetal hidrogenada está presente na maioria destes produtos sendo este uma gordura trans. Segundo Anvisa consumo excessivo de alimentos ricos em gorduras trans pode causar o aumento do colesterol total e ainda do colesterol ruim (LDL), além de reduzir os níveis de colesterol bom (HDL). Vemos que os produtos muitas vezes ditos como nutritivos e integrais na verdade não nutrem e o consumo em excesso ser prejudicial. Outro ponto que devemos sempre verificar nos rótulos é a quantidade de sódio. A Organização Mundial da Saúde recomenda um consumo máximo de 2000mg (2g) de sódio por pessoa ao dia, o que equivale a 5g de sal (lembrando que 40% do sal é composto de sódio). Por isso busque sempre consumir frutas, iogurtes, amendoins, castanhas, agua de coco, ou a própria carne do coco são opções mais saudáveis e nutritivas. Sempre evite o excesso de alimentos industrializados, tudo é questão de equilíbrio. Place the weight on a heavier pin to start, as this helps you perfect the movement more. Grab the handles with whichever grip you’d like, reverse, hammer or standard. Place your knees on the pad, and slowly pull yourself up, keeping the elbows in line with the wrists in whichever grip you’ve chosen. Yeah the top, and slowly lower yourself back down. I want to share a story of a client of mine. She was in the midst of a major lifestyle transformation. In a few short months, she had learned a ton about nutrition, was consistently crushing her workouts, and finally got over her fear of lifting heavy weights! . But she wasn't happy. This is true but VERY incomplete!!!! Why? Because muscle development and movement synchronicity depends on your brains capacity to process incoming data . . . 🤔 Have you ever wondered why baby giraffes are able to walk after 5 minutes from birth? where as humans require a full period of 12 months... why is that? . . At birth only the brainstem (the central trunk of your brain) is active, this is why newborns cannot control their movements and are incapable of walking which requires the activation of the error spinae. . . . As the brainstem matures, it forms important connections with: 1️⃣ the cerebellum (so you can access your back extensors) 2️⃣ the motor cortex (for voluntary movement) 3️⃣ the premotor cortex (for joint stability) 4️⃣ and the rest of your brain (cerebrum) - movement leads to development of both sides of your brain (left/right hemispheres) which are linked to the development of your autonomic system . . . . STOP SQUATTING WITH UNEVEN FOOT PLACEMENT!!!(@posturepro) . . Have you ever noticed that when you squat 🏋️‍♀️your pelvis seems to shift more to one side? 😱 . . The common belief is that there is either some unadressed tightness/weakness or a habit that is making you squat weirdly. . This might come as a surprise to you, but chances are that your foot posture is probably off kilter - and since your habits influence your level of mobility - your level of mobility will influence your movement patterns! . . Statistic show that 72% of us have uneven foot pressure, meaning one foot supinates and the other pronates . . Here is  a simple way to assess the stability/instability of your feet: . . 1️⃣Stand up barefoot looking straight ahead 2️⃣Gently lift the right foot off the ground and pay attention to the movement of the left foot. Make note of whether it is pronating or supinating. 3️⃣Do the same with the opposite foot. . . Pronation refers to the foot's natural way of moving from side to side ↔️ when a person walks or runs . . It occurs as the weight is transferred from the heel to the ball of the foot as a person goes through their walking or running stride . . Pronation also occurs while standing, and some pronation is normal. Overpronation is when the foot rolls inward ⤵️toward the arch, and can cause various injuries . . ⤴️Supination, is when the body weight is being shifted outwards. . . If you found that you foot posture was uneven, then chances are that you have what we call dysharmonic feet. Squats can be really challenging to perform properly if you have improper foot posture, as the foot affects the entire kinetic chain. . . The good news is that there are simple ways to prevent or restore proper foot mechanics to get you back in the game.
