Happy New Year y’all!! I hope everyone is having an amazing day full of hope and excitement for the year ahead! Traditionally our family and so many families in the south will eat a delicious meal of collard greens and black eyed peas! Collard greens symbolizes financial prosperity and black-eyed peas are for luck in the new year! What are some of your New Year traditions?
Today is the last day of the year, hard to believe. In some ways 2018 flew by and in others it felt like it just dragged on. I’ve never been one to get on the “new year new me” band wagon, but after the year I’ve had I can see how its beneficial to have that way of thinking. So here’s to the New Year 🥂 New year new me, I’m going to focus on my health, get in the gym (or atleast move alittle more 🤣) put better food in my body (within reason). I’m going to focus more on my relationship with God, this past year has been a year of suffering for me and he is the one who has carried me and is still carrying me. Im going to focus on loving myself more. I give every bit of myself to everyone else and it’s caused me to lose some of myself. 2019 is about bettering Amber so Amber can be better for everyone else 💖
